LB. Profile further expands PCD System platform

A new system platform with 70 or 80 mm construction depth in elegant design and with excellent values of thermal insulation, sound insulation and security

Together with its profile system CONCEPT LB. Profile introduces a completely new system platform PCD for doors and windows on the fensterbau/frontale 2006. The crucial benefit of this system concept for window fabrication is the easy change between rebate and central sealing. Only the mainframe has to be changed, everything else stays as it is.

The basic main profiles of the CONCEPT system comprise a flat and a high mainframe profile each for both rebate and central sealing as well as two sash profiles matching all four mainframes. With six chambers, 70 mm construction depth and a deeper glazing rebate this system achieves superb thermal transmission coefficient values even with a standard steel reinforcement (common to all LB. systems).

Even better values are gained by the CONCEPT-80 with a half stepped-face sash profile and two mainframe profiles (one for rebate and one for central sealing) with uniform 80 mm construction depth and seven chambers. Windows of that type excel with elegant, modern looks and slim frame appearance. An even deeper Euro-groove raises protection against unhinging.

Using door leaf profiles of the CONCEPT system, front, balcony and terrace doors can be constructed—opening either outwards or inwards— that perfectly match the system design. Several threshold profiles are available.

Seals can be supplied to all specifications required. As a standard, weldable sealing in RAL 7040 Window Grey is fitted ex factory. All PCD systems can be laminated at our facilities with a large variety of colour and decor foils.

As one glance on the automation-compatible profile geometry reveals, fast and economic production were pivotal criteria also for the design of the PCD systems. As many elements of the PAD system platform (like reinforcements, glazing beads, sealings, connector profiles etc) can also be used in the PCD system, the latter offers a significant contribution to lean production.

A reliable and proven standard: the PAD system platform

PAD Platform profile systems are available with 60 and 70 mm construction depth and with 3 or 5 chambers. PAD is a truly modern system platform, being developed without any compromises for automated subsequent processing, maximum flexibility in production and great diversity in the design of windows and doors. At this point the PAD platform comprises a comprehensive range of main, auxiliary and supplementary profiles, all of which being mutually compatible and most of which also applicable in the PCD system.

Windows with special designs can be made using the PAD systems CLASSICz and COUNTOUR. CLASSICz features a half stepped sash with clearly chamfered external rims and matching glazing beads. With 3 or 5 chambers and 60 mm construction depth it is fully compatible with all PAD profiles.

A striking feature of the new CONTOUR system are the smoothly rounded external rims in combination with half-stepped sashes. They can be matched by a rounded glazing bead on request. Sash profiles are available opening inwards or outwards with various matching thresholds. The colour set CombiColor features an option to fashion the external surfaces of CONTOUR windows and doors in two or three colour schemes. With 70 mm construction depth and 5 chambers, CONTOUR is also compatible with every other element in the PAD system platform.

LB. Profile's sliding door system COMFORT is not only a budget-priced alternative to conventional lift and slide doors but also permits the construction of quite large elements. At 107 mm construction depth and a straight forward, low maintenance construction it delivers excellent thermal insulation, runs smoothly and can be operated easily with one hand.

With its CONTAINER window system, LB. Profile aims at a special target-group. It was designed after consultations with manufacturers of construction site trailers. The window is delivered with an integral roller shutter box as a ready-for-assembly unit. Built-in circumferential sealing renders further sealing dispensable.

Hence the complete assembly instruction reads like this: insert—screw on—done.
